Our King Soba USA Organic Buckwheat Ramen is made with 100% organic buckwheat. Despite its' name, buckwheat contains no wheat and is naturally gluten free. It is a seed of a broad leaf plant and is a great source of slow release carbohydrate with easily digestible proteins.

This is an excellent alternative to wheat products while being a thoroughly satisfying meal with a miso broth, or add any flavoring your prefer. Top with vegetables, tofu or meat.

Ideal for vegetarians, vegans, celiacs or people who are gluten and wheat sensitive. Kosher, and for those who prefer a healthy food alternative.

Produced in a dedicated Gluten Free facility.
Ingredients: Organic 100% Buckwheat flour.
Allergies: Trace amounts of sesame, soya, peanuts and nuts may be found at the facility due to transportation of raw ingredients.

To prepare:
STOVE METHOD
Boil water in a pan and add one noodle cake per person.
Gently separate the noodles with a fork and reduce the heat to medium to prevent clumping.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until they begin to soften, gently stirring occasionally. Be careful not to overcook.
Drain and rinse well in a colander to prevent sticking.

You can re-heat by either; adding to your ingredients, pouring hot water over them or briefly microwaving.

MICROWAVE METHOD
Use a microwavable bowl with lid or a microwave ramen noodle bowl.
Add one ramen cake and fill water to the water line, or add 2 cups of water and cover. (Ideas: Crush 1/2 to 1 bouillon cube and add to your water. Try chicken, beef or vegetable broth instead of water).
Cook for 3 minutes on high power. Remove from microwave and carefully open the lid. Using a fork, flip the ramen cake over.
Cover and cook on high power for 2 minutes. Using oven mitts, remove from the microwave and let it sit for 3 minutes until cooked through. Let them sit for up to 5 minutes for a softer noodle.
Stir well with a fork to separate the noodles. Keep the liquid or drain and add to your ingredients. The liquid is absorbed by the noodles the longer you leave them.

The ramen themselves are very good. There are no directions for making them in a microwave. My first experiment was disastrous, but I figured it out and results are fine now.
